1. Turmeric-Ginger Anti-Inflammatory Drink (Green Liquid Gold)
Ingredients (makes ~2 liters):
- 1 large cucumber
- 4-5 celery stalks
- 2 green apples (for sweetness)
- 2 inches fresh turmeric root (or 2 tsp turmeric powder)
- 1 inch fresh ginger root
- 1 lemon, peeled
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley or cilantro
- 3-4 cups filtered water
- Pinch of black pepper (enhances turmeric absorption)
Instructions:
- Wash all ingredients thoroughly.
- Chop cucumber, celery, apples, turmeric, and ginger into chunks.
- Place everything into a high-speed blender with 3 cups of water.
- Blend until smooth.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove pulp (optional).
- Stir in black pepper.
- Store in airtight jugs in the fridge for up to 5 days. Shake well before drinking.
