TACO PIZZA

  1. Preheat your oven according to the pizza dough package instructions or your homemade dough recipe.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and water, following the instructions on the seasoning packet. Simmer until the mixture thickens.
  6. Preheat the oven to the temperature specified in your pizza dough recipe.
  7. Roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape. Place it on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  8. Spread the salsa over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  9. Spread the taco meat evenly over the salsa layer.
  10. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the taco meat.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven according to the pizza dough instructions or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  1. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  2. Top the pizza with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.
  3. Optionally, drizzle with sour cream and add dollops of guacamole.
  4. Slice and serve your delicious taco pizza!

Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking, and enjoy the tasty combination of taco and pizza flavors!
